The Maradona Testarossa / Editorial preview
The black
Testarossa.
A Testarossa linked to Diego Maradona.
What the available sources tell us.
The supplied material identifies 67541 as Diego Maradona's black Testarossa. This edition brings together the photographs, reported history and questions that still need original records.
Prepared from supplied material and attributed accounts. Original factory, ownership and transfer records have not been examined. No current-keeper participation or sale is represented.

Photographed warranty card
The photographed warranty card is a lead worth following. Its VIN and engine number appear to match the supplied account. The original booklet and its provenance still need examination.
The full photograph contains an address and signature and is not included in this site. Read the evidence note.
How unusual is this specification?
No supported comparison set has been supplied for this chassis. The file therefore gives the recorded colours without a rarity ranking, production count or claim that this was the first black Testarossa.
02 / History by year
The reported history
of chassis 67541.
Jump to an entry 6 entries
1987
A beginning in black.
The supplied account places completion in March 1987. A photograph of a warranty card names Maradona and appears to record 18 March 1987. A warranty date alone does not establish the factory completion date.
Date unknown
The car in the photographs.
Both supplied period images show a black Testarossa carrying NA N93951. That repeated plate is a useful link between the images. The original negatives, dates and chassis-to-registration record have not been reviewed.
Supplied period photograph. Date and photographer unconfirmed. 02 / Evidence note ↗
No continuous ownership or service record has been established here. An empty interval means no entries in this file.
1993?
The Spanish chapter.
The supplied account describes a move to Spain in 1993 and a keeper identified as M.M. The transfer date and the intervening ownership sequence remain open.
January 2014
Offered for sale.
Contemporary reporting described a Spanish seller asking €250,000. An asking price is not a completed sale. No auction result or transaction record has been reviewed for this entry.
July 2024
An inspection in Spain.
Tito Barreiro later described receiving a lead in July 2024 and examining the car in Barcelona. His account does not establish a sale to Jorge Yarur through him.
2025
A life on display.
Jorge Yarur publicly described acquiring the car. Separately, a Museo de la Moda curator identified the black Testarossa shown in Buenos Aires as Maradona's. Event coverage dates Íconos sobre Ruedas to 24 October through 2 November 2025.
Current location is unconfirmed
Later coverage associates the car with Yarur's collection in Chile. Present custody and location have not been independently confirmed for this edition.

Which stories
are supported?
The airport and the World Cup
One familiar story places the car at Naples airport after Argentina's 1986 World Cup victory. FIFA dates the final to 29 June 1986. If the supplied March 1987 completion is correct, that literal sequence cannot describe this chassis. The build record is needed before settling the chronology.
FIFA tournament record ↗Did Enzo Ferrari approve the colour?
Accounts of a personal intervention are repeated with different versions of how the black finish came about. No primary documentation establishing that conversation has been examined for this file. It remains an anecdote, separate from the recorded specification.
Published accounts · 04A Testarossa, an F40, and two stories
This entry concerns the Testarossa identified as 67541. Stories about an F40 are not evidence about this chassis. Its record does not absorb a detail simply because the same famous owner appears in another account.
04 / The sources
Sources used in this entry.
Each source supports a particular observation or account. Their presence is not a whole-car verification.
01 / Supplied material
A written history and a warranty-card photograph.
Identity and specification transcribed from material supplied for this entry. The photograph appears to show the VIN, engine number, Maradona's name and a March 1987 date. Authentication and the link to original records remain open.
Supplied · originals not examined02 / Two period photographs
NA N93951, in two views.
Both images visibly carry the same registration. They are presented as supplied, without reconstruction. Their date, photographer, publication permission and documentary link to chassis 67541 require review before public release.
03 / Contemporary reporting
An offer in January 2014.
Infobae reported an asking price of €250,000 on 17 January 2014. This entry does not repeat the later claim of a completed US$250,000 auction sale.

Barreiro and Yarur, in their own accounts.
The Clinic interviewed both men on 15 November 2025. Their testimony supports the attributed inspection and acquisition accounts. The article does not publish the VIN or establish a continuous transfer history.

Íconos sobre Ruedas, Buenos Aires.
TN's 1 November 2025 interview with museum curator Acacia Echazarreta identifies the exhibited Testarossa as Maradona's. Río Negro supplies the event dates. Neither is a chassis-specific accession record.
