About the Register

Is my car in the Register?

Only cars with a published story appear here, but there’s information on many more. To hear what’s on file for yours, run a Chassis Check. It’s free and usually arrives within a week.

Who decides which stories are published?

Maranello Data selects each story and checks it before it appears. Chassis Files stay private and never appear here.

Are the pictures photographs?

Mostly illustrations, each drawn from the car’s own photographs or recorded specification. A few are cut out from a photograph or from the factory’s own image of the car. The caption beneath each says which.

What do the marks under each car mean?

Each mark is one dated record, placed in its year, up to today. The bracket names the longest stretch between records.

I know one of these cars. Can I help?

Old photographs, invoices and service books can fill a missing year. Rewards explains how a find is checked and paid.
