Your Ferrari, on the record

Open the record

Open your Ferrari’s private Chassis File, starting with its chassis number. Not had a Chassis Check yet? Start with one, free.

01 / Your Ferrari

Which Ferrari?

Enter its 17-character VIN, or the chassis number from the vehicle documents.

For an older Ferrari with a shorter chassis number, enter it exactly as recorded, for example 18431.

The country that issued the plate.

Only the owner can open a private Chassis File.

Not the owner?

Buying one? Ask the owner to share their file, or run a Chassis Check. Dealers have their own route. Have old papers to share? Rewards explains how.

02 / Your interests

What should the file look for?

Choose the parts of its story that matter to you. As many as you like, or none.

These choices guide the research. What turns up depends on the records that exist for your Ferrari.

Old registers and photographs often name the plate, not the chassis. Every plate opens another search.

Looking for one missing detail? You can offer a reward.

A reward goes to whoever supplies what you need. The amount, what qualifies and the fee are agreed with you before any search begins. You pay only when the agreed terms are met. This enquiry doesn’t fund a reward.

03 / Your option

Choose your Chassis File

Both start with the same file: the birth certificate and rarity, and the recorded history with every source. One payment, VAT included.

  • After the included months, keep it a Living File for €99 a year, if you want. You keep your file either way.
  • Maranello World Ranking eligibility is in development. A nomination needs an evidence review and your approval.
04 / Your enquiry

Your Ferrari. Your Chassis File.

What happens next. A Ferrarista agrees the contents with you by email, then a payment link follows. Your file is ready in about a week.

What happens next

An enquiry first, a file a week later

  1. 1

    You send the enquiry

The chassis number, what you’d like to know and your plan. It’s an email from you, not a payment.

  2. 2

    The contents are agreed

The team replies with what your file will hold. What it holds depends on what’s on record for the car. Then a payment link follows.

  3. 3

    Your file arrives

Ready in about a week, private to you, with checks and alerts for 12 or 24 months. After that, a Living File is €99 a year, if you want it.

Before you send it

What’s the difference between Chassis File and Chassis Plus?

Both start with the same file. The Chassis File includes 12 months of checks and alerts, and new information is priced separately. Chassis Plus includes 24 months, with every archive and partner finding in that time.

Is the birth certificate a Ferrari document?

No. It’s Maranello Data’s record of how the car left the factory, with its sources.

What if little is on record for my car?

You hear that before you pay, and the search doesn’t stop at your file: its 12 months of checks and alerts tell you when something new turns up. Missing years are named, not hidden. Not sure yet? Run a Chassis Check first.

What happens when the included alerts end?

Your Chassis File stays yours, for good. To keep hearing when something new turns up, keep it a Living File for €99 a year. New findings are priced separately.

Is there a printed copy?

Not yet. A printed edition is in development and isn’t part of the digital Chassis File.
